West Brom’s Premier League season continued with a defeat against Newcastle at St James’ Park on Saturday.

A defeat, which Tony Pulis has called the worse performance (away) since he took over as West Brom boss, was suffered when Newcastle won one-nil to help their relegation worries whilst bring Albion further into the battle.

Newcastle had already had a goal disallowed when Aleksandar Mitrovic beat Ben Foster as he came out to meet him to open the scoring on 32-minutes. The post denied Andros Townsend a second for Newcastle with England ‘keeper Foster making a good save to deny Mitrovic again.

The best the Albion offered was an effort that came to James McClean, who saw his effort blocked by Newcastle defender Steven Taylor leading us in 14th six-points ahead of the bottom three.

These were the other results.
