Jerome Thomas has said the players were determined to gift Roy Hodgson 3 points against Liverpool, and the whole squad were delighted with their efforts.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Thomas said that the gaffer was ‘all smiles’ after the match, but importantly he told the players that even if they hadn’t managed to secure all 3 points, he would’ve been delighted with their performance.

‘The work he has put into us, and the way he prepares us showed on the pitch. We know how much this game would have meant to the gaffer and it was nice to get the win for him.’

Thomas was also delighted with the performance of the lads as Albion notched up their first Liverpool win in 30 years.

‘It was a great win and, to be honest, we outplayed Liverpool. We definitely deserved the win. The lads were great today, I can’t praise them enough.’
