Wednesday evening’s Championship action saw West Bromwich Albion battle back from a goal behind to keep our turn in form going as we took victory over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
With head coach Darren Moore’s charges stuttering in recent times, we are more than back on the horse now so to speak as we racked up our third straight victory to lift ourselves into fourth place in the second tier table as we are about to enter the month of December.
The hosts had the better of the game statistically, but we did more with the ball when we had it and having equalised through Craig Dawson, Ahmed Hegazi gave us the winner a minute before the halftime mark.
With defence stepping up to win the game to offset earlier errors, they then held out to take the 2-1 win and fans travelled home happy.
According to Whoscored with both assists on the day Matty Phillips took their star man award with a score of 8.16 immediately post-game.
Dawson took second place with 7.85 and Hegazi third with 7.48 and our top five had a defensive edge to it with Tosun Adarabioyo (7.25) and Kieran Gibbs (6.89) completing the top five on the day and goalkeeper Sam Johnstone came in at sixth spot with 6.85.
On we roll.
