West Bromwich Albion now face an interesting challenge against Brentford on a Monday and a derby clash with Aston Villa on a Friday in the near future as Sky Sports have shunted another of our Championship ties to suit the armchair fan and their clamour for a national audience.
A change of date for our Hawthorns clash with @BrentfordFC…#WBA https://t.co/jjDBPED0tp
— West Bromwich Albion (@WBA) October 15, 2018
With the announcement of their latest pick of games as we head towards the New Year, the Brentford clash moves to an 8pm kickoff on Monday, December 3 from the Saturday slot, and it obviously gives us less time to recover ahead of the Villa game at The Hawthorns on Friday, December 7.
This, of course, has gone down like a lead balloon amongst the fan base for all of the obvious reasons and a number took the time out to respond and give their thoughts on social media when the club Tweeted out the news.
For once its in my favour I've got visitors from Holland that weekend so would ha e missed it

Are season ticket holders able to sell back their seats for these games? Two in a week is ridiculous! Midweek Night games are hard enough to get to with traffic and most people working. Shows a complete lack of consideration to the fans who have stayed loyal

Might i suggest that in the event of a changed date you offer refunds to season ticket holders for their ticket? Which can then be resold?

These games should be agreed before the season starts. It's just not right.

absolutely joke they don't worry about the really fans who attend games

This is unfair, after the following Saturday's Villa game has been moved forward to Friday 7th. Two night games in 5 days. Not easy for working people or those with last trains home to catch. Not that the people who make these decisions give a toss about that

Does@WBA have any say in the rearranging of these matches or are they happy in taking sky sports money and selling their season ticket holders down the river also does Darren Moore have an opinion in playing two important matches in five days just for the sake of money!
