The World Is At This West Brom Kid’s Feet With Consistent Performances

|

I hope well, beyond hope, that we have some kind of permanent buy clause in place for Leicester City loanee Harvey Barnes – but sadly I doubt it as I don’t remember talk of one when he arrived at West Bromwich Albion over the summer.

The 20-year-old attack-minded player has taken the support role under head coach Darren Moore and it’s been incredibly productive as with last night’s game against Bristol City included, he now has three goals to his name and two assists.

WhoScored gave the lad a top rating of 9.47 for his showing last night and he more than contributed to our 4-2 victory as he scored and laid on assists for Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriguez who found the net earlier in the game to complete his own brace.

It was a stellar performance from West Brom, and Gayle and Rodriguez were also rewarded with 8 ratings given their own performances, and our top five was completed by Craig Dawson and Jake Livermore, so the spine of the club is showing significant improvement now as we sit in a lofty third place in the Championship table.

A long way to go, but one win separates us from top spot and everyone would’ve taken that after last year at this early stage wouldn’t they.
