Surely West Brom Won’t Sanction This Type Of Deal Again – Striker Won’t Be Leaving On Loan Despite Recent Claims

|

With West Bromwich Albion fans largely expected the eventual news that someone has triggered striker Salomon Rondon’s release clause, Fenerbahce have now joined the shortlist of clubs interested in his services, with Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers already appearing on the rumour mill.

West Brom’s Price Remains The Same – Now’s The Time To Pay It

With Rondon making no secret of the fact he wants Premier League football and doesn’t want to return to The Hawthorns, it’s all about the £16.5million release fee and as of yet, neither Newcastle nor Wolves appear to have triggered it.

There has been a bizarre report in Turkey via the Birmingham Mail that suggests Fenerbahce have declared their interest but as ever with all Turkish links I’ve seen involving the club, they can’t afford to pay the transfer fee, so they’d want him on loan.

The report claims we’ve knocked back a £4million loan fee and it there’s no way a deal like this goes through again as I doubt Rondon would entertain being forced into another 12 month deal, just so we can keep the release fee on the table. I also doubt given financial implications we’d want to sideline that kind of sum for another 12 months ourselves.

Another loan just makes absolutely no sense.
