The irony of possibly losing Jara Reyes and Jerome Thomas to injury after the Norwich game has not been lost on Roy Hodgson after he didn’t risk players because of the injury risk it posed.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson revealed that both players are now risks for our next match, despite his best efforts to get our injury concerns down.

‘Jerome has turned his ankle over and is a doubt for Wednesday, Gonzalo has also got an adductor muscle issue, so that’s another one we’ll need looking into. Yet again, it was one of those days where nothing went right. You’re trying to protect people and keep them fit and you end up losing a couple of players. I suppose that would be down to sod’s law.’
