Chris Brunt has admitted the players let the traveling support down against Swansea, and he knows it’s up to the players to put that right this weekend.

Speaking to wba.co.uk after the game, our captain said.

‘We owe the fans. It’s the worst we’ve played all season by a long stretch. In the second half we dug in and we were a bit better. It’s disappointing because we let ourselves and the supporters down. They deserve better from us.’

Fair words and good to see players holding their hands up and not blaming conditions, or finding other excuses for not being at their best.

As Brunt says in the rest of the interview, despite it being a cliche, we pick ourselves up, and we go again in the next match and do our best to keep this as a blip and not the start of a downturn.

We’ve bounced back before, no reason to believe we won’t again.
