Steve Clarke has said Albion’s season begins for real when we host Manchester City after the international break, as the festive run of games will separate the men from the boys.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Clarke explained that City start the most important run of the season as the league will start to take shape and he still wants Albion to be up there in contention.

‘We are where we, we don’t need to be tested. We’ve had a good start and proved we can stand up to anyone at The Hawthorns, and we hope to do that against City. My opinion is the season starts after this international break. This is the juncture where you fight for position and the next run of games takes you into December where the season really takes shape and you have a tough run of matches.’

Be interesting if we can sustain the start we’ve had, there has to be a few more hiccups along the way but we’ve done well, and a top ten finish is looking very good at the moment.
