Paul Scharner is hoping to score his 6th Premiership goal against Everton and see Albion leave with all 3 points.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Scharner admitted he loves games against the Toffees, especially given his goal scoring record against them, and he’s looking for more joy and hopefully another first team start this time round.

‘Those thoughts are in my head and I feel good every time I go to Everton. I have my favourite stand there because I scored all the goals at one end. I joked last season maybe they should name the stand after me!’

It hasn’t been a perfect season for Scharner, finding himself in and out of Hodgson’s plans, but he’s hoping he can pin down a regular spot now until the end of the season.

‘It’s been a bit of a stop start season for me. When I’ve played I think I’ve had a few decisive moments like the win against Aston Villa and the win at Newcastle. Hopefully I can pin down a place now.’
