The club have also had to rubbish reports, stemming from Nigeria, that they have agreed a price for top scorer Peter Odemwingie.
Speaking to wba.co.uk sporting director Dan Ashworth rubbished the reports and insisted that Odemwingie was not for sale.
‘Our aim is to retain our core players and try to strengthen around them. I want to make it clear that Peter is not for sale. We have not received any offers for Peter and we have placed no valuation on his head.’
