Roy Hodgson has said he was delighted and proud of our defensive performance against Man City.

Speaking to wba.co.uk following the scoreless draw, Hodgson was pleased to see Albion become the first team this season to stop the billionaires from scoring in the league and it served as the perfect result following our last two victories.

‘You’ve got to be pleased with that, obviously we knew the magnitude of the task. I thought City played well, although they didn’t play as well as they have been playing, so we had to be at our best to try and keep them at bay. It was a very disciplined and hard working performance and I thought we deserved the point, we got it by playing in the right manner.’

It was certainly a result few expected!
