Roy Hodgson was delighted to see us take a point against Spurs, and was pleased with the character shown by the team to come from behind.

Speaking to wba.co.uk after the match, Hodgson said the point was massive for the club given the form Spurs are in and the season they’ve had so far.

‘I was delighted, I think it was a splendid effort to come back from 2-1 down and draw. It’s taken us to a psychological point of 40, which most people would say is enough.’

Hodgson isn’t most people though and he quickly adds that he still believes we need a few more points to be totally safe, and nobody at the club will be taking their foot off the peddle just yet.

Although obviously.

‘I have to say I’m a damn sight happier with 40 than 39.’

As are we all Roy!
