The Baggies have confirmed that Ipswich’s centre half Gareth McAuley will join the club on a free transfer on July 1.
The 31 year old Northern Ireland International has put pen to paper on a three year contract.
Speaking to wba.co.uk Roy Hodgson said.
‘I would like to welcome Gareth to the club and I am very please we have added a player of his quality and experience to our team.’
McAuley is preparing for Northern Ireland’s games in the Carling Nations Cup, they face Eire tomorrow night and then Wales three days later. Both games will take place at the Aviva Stadium.
