Roy Hodgson has said he will continue to change the side as we head towards the close of the season as he doesn’t want any player to become an ‘external substitute’.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson said that now we are pretty safe from relegation he wants to make sure that everybody feels involved and gets some time on the pitch.

‘I do think we are relatively safe now, we have 36 points with nine games left. We’re looking upwards and I’m looking to use the whole of the squad. People can expect a few changes in the coming nine games. We have this level of player and I can’t keep them as external substitutes, I will use them during the course of the season. We have two senior goalkeepers and about 19 fit outfield players so we will need everyone in the final games.’

Now we are safe it’s the right time to bring people in, keep them involved and maybe even bloody a few more youngsters so they have a touch more experience for next season.
