Liam Ridgewell has added to Steve Clarke’s injury worries after limping off with a calf problem last night.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Clarke said he was hopeful of some players returning before the weekend, with how we had to rejig the defence around.

‘I’ve not had an in depth analysis of Liam’s injury. He felt something on his calf and he went off. The full back areas are a concern for the weekend. We’ll assess what we’ve got tomorrow and if I can get one or two from the treatment room onto the training pitch I’ll do that. If not, we’ll just deal with it.’

Hopefully Ridgewell’s issue won’t be too bad, as I can’t see Reid or Popov returning just yet from what we’ve heard.
