Report: West Brom’s transfer plans revealed as they hope to do deal for striker

|

West Brom want to sign Fenerbahce Vedat Muriqi in the next transfer window and they will sell players to fund a move for the striker.

The Kosovo international has been heavily linked with a switch to The Hawthorns for the past few weeks now, with reports suggesting that he is a top target for Slaven Bilic – providing Albion win promotion to the Premier League. And, Turkish media outlet Aksam have confirmed the Baggies interest and they claim that the West Midland outfit are working on moving players on in order to seal a deal for Muriqi.

They also add that the Yellow Canaries are going to demand €20m for their star man, who has hit 13 league goals in 25 games in the Super Lig this season.

Will West Brom be in the Premier League next season?

Yes

No

Despite his importance to the team, the update states that he is a top earner for Fenerbahce and the current financial climate means they are willing to sell the player because of that for the right price. The suggested fee won’t come as a surprise to Albion and it had been suggested in the past that they are willing to pay €20m to land Muriqi, who is keen on testing himself in the Premier League.

However, it’s unlikely to be straightforward for West Brom to do a deal, as Aksam also say that Rennes are monitoring the striker and they would be able to offer Champions League football. That’s after Ligue 1 was finished early they were third, meaning they will be playing Europe’s elite next season.
