Report: West Brom star who will be ‘happy’ to remain at club praises key figure for warm welcome

|

Grady Diangana has praised Slaven Bilic’s warm welcome to his arrival at West Brom and how the West Ham loanee has made the Croatian feel comfortable at the club.

Sitting down with The Guardian, the England youth international admitted that the atmosphere around the club has been positive, and that if Bilic was to call him back for a second loan spell, the 21-year-old attacker would happily take up this offer.

Bilic and Diangana spent a brief time together at West Ham, but as stats from Transfermarkt show, the youngster was never given a chance to prove to the former Hammers boss what he was capable of on the pitch, something the right-sided winger is making up for this season.

Do West Brom have the best squad in the Championship?

Yes

No

Diangana said about his move to West Brom: “As soon as I stepped in, I felt comfortable. Everyone’s so happy. Everyone’s bantering with each other. I’m a humble character. As soon as I walked through the door the players were just so nice to me. I’m doing well. If the manager called me back, I’d be happy to do so but he said I can get 40 games under my belt and I’m happy to do that as well.”

The West Ham youngster has been in great form this season for the Baggies, with stats from Transfermarkt showing that Diangana has been very productive for West Brom already, scoring four goals and assisting another six for the Championship table-toppers.

Diangana has been nothing short of a success for the Albion this season, and although Sky Sports News reported earlier in the week that West Ham are considering recalling the young attacker in January, it looks like the winger would opt to remain at West Brom to keep his spot in Bilic’s first-team and to help push the Championship side back to the Premier League
