Grady Diangana is aiming to return to the West Brom starting XI for New Year’s Day, the date in which the Baggies take on Championship rivals Leeds United.
The Express and Star report that the West Ham loanee could be back in Slaven Bilic’s first-team plans at the turn of the New Year after Diangana picked up a back injury in West Brom’s 3-2 win over Birmingham City last weekend.
The return of the English youth international for the Leeds game will be a massive boost for West Brom with Diangana set to miss the club’s remaining December fixtures in a period of the season that is likely to define which side will go on to finish top of the Championship table.

The Albion currently have the lead over Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds in the standings by just two points, but the sheer quantity of games coming up for both sides as well as their much-anticipated encounter on New Year’s Day means that the two Premier League promotion hopefuls will be eager to remain in top form in the upcoming weeks.
For West Brom, though, they will be aiming to ensure that their performance levels don’t drop anymore with Diangana now out of the side until 2020.
As stats from WhoScored show, the 21-year-old attacker has been fairly productive for West Brom in what is turning out to be a breakout year for the youngster, with Diangana managing five goals and five assists in 20 appearances for the Baggies.
