Report: European giants send scouts to assess West Brom star touted with big move in 2020

AC Milan are reportedly the next club to join the growing list of teams seeking out the signature for Nathan Ferguson, whose contract with West Brom expires next summer.

According to The Sun, the seven-time European champions, as well as Ligue 1 side Marseille and historic German club Hamburg, were all in attendance for last week’s game against Wigan Athletic, in which Ferguson played an hour of before being substituted in the Baggies’ 1-1 draw.

The 19-year-old is slowly becoming one of the most sought-after players in the Championship, with clubs like Tottenham and Crystal Palace also reportedly keen on signing Ferguson in the January transfer window as reported by The Sun.

With the defender’s current deal with the Baggies expiring next year and no fresh updates that the teenager will be renewing with the Championship side, it is more than certain that Ferguson will be leaving the club at a bargain price for any side who goes in for the talented youngster who has flourished under Slaven Bilic this campaign.

As stats from Transfermarkt show, Ferguson has featured heavily for the Baggies this season, playing 18 games for the Baggies in what has so far been a memorable season for the club as they currently sit top of the Championship table heading into the halfway mark of the footballing year.

With The Athletic reporting that a new deal is on the table for Ferguson, the teenage defender seemingly has his head turned on a move away from the Hawthorns in 2020, and with AC Milan now in the mix for the youngster’s signature, it appears that West Brom might have to be hunting for a new fullback in the New Year.
