Report Claims West Brom Have Struck A £300k Deal For Versatile 23 y/o

|

As West Bromwich Albion ticked into a new month this week, we saw a new name on the summer transfer rumour mill and new head coach Slaven Bilic was being linked with having an interest in Benfica midfielder Filip Krovinovic.

According to reports in Portugal via the E&S, rumours were rife over the weekend that we had already struck a loan deal with Benfica for his services in the 2019/20 campaign.

The reports claimed that the 23-year-old would be travelling to England this week to put the finer touches on an initial £300,000 loan, but that fee is said to rise if he helps us to win promotion back to the Premier League.

He’s described as a versatile midfielder but in his two years at the club his game time has become limited after he lost his place through injury, so whether there is a permanent deal to be had here remains to be seen, as it seems to be about game time more than anything.

We shall see if he arrives.
