Report Claims Bilic Is Tracking Former Manchester United Man

|

Reports this week have suggested that new West Bromwich Albion head coach Slaven Bilic is tracking former Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund playmaker Shinji Kagawa and we are hopeful of beating Turkish side Besiktas to his signature.

The 30-year-old Japanese midfielder was at Old Trafford between 2012 and 2014 after he made a £12million switch from Dortmund, and having returned to them after his spell in the UK, he spent the second half of last season out with Besiktas and although they have ambitions of capturing him on a permanent basis this summer, a report from outlet Sabah has claimed we have thrown our hat into the ring.

The report is loose really on detail and also links Spanish side Sevilla with having an interest in him, and to me it seems to really just lean on Bilic’s name as potentially being a big pull for the player although even they seem to imply the player wouldn’t drop to the second tier of our game.

It’s an interesting name though but I don’t think fans should expect to see him arrive at the club, purely because I imagine his financial demands would be beyond us more than anything else.

With Bilic in place though I guess we can expect a kick up in speculation even if none of them are actually realistic in our position.
