Steven Reid has credited Roy Hodgson with our defensive display against Stoke, but now it’s eyes forward to Blues and a win.
Speaking to the Birmingham Mail Reid praised Hodgson’s pre match preparation for our tightness against the Potters in saying:
‘The last couple of weeks have been tough training. There are no grey areas now when we get out there. Everyone knows their job and we look a lot more solid. That’s down to the new manager.’
Of more importance now is our preparation for this weekends game against Birmingham. Whether they’ll be on a high or hung over, nobody knows but we will need to be at our best again and hopefully this time round we can take all 3 points and really lift ourselves away from the bottom 3.
The meeting will bring Reid face to face with old colleague David Bentley, and he knows it will be a tough encounter but he’s pretty confident we will end the game with a smile on our faces.
‘It’s another tough game. It’s a big game for both teams and we’ll be looking to get three points. We will go out and try to win the game.’
