Head coach Tony Pulis has called on West Brom to repeat the performance we put in against Aston Villa when we host Sam Allardyce’s Sunderland side tomorrow.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail in his weekly media duties, Pulis reflected on the three defeats on the bounce and rued the injuries that we suffered that affected those and the selections available to him.

In any event though this weekend it’s about getting back to the kind of performance we put in against Villa so we could get ourselves going again.

Looking back to the Crystal Palace loss, he said.

‘Losing Gareth McAuley just before the Everton game and Jonas Olsson during the game – that didn`t help us at all. But that was a game we threw away. Going to Norwich, we changed the team and the Palace game was as disappointing a game as I`ve had as a a manager. I want a performance more like the Villa performance. It`s about getting confidence and a foothold again and we`ll only get that from picking up points.’

As for injury news, it doesn’t get much better as Pulis revealed that four players were doubts for the match.

Those four are Jonny Evans, Saido Berahino, James Morrison and Salomon Rondon.

‘Evans, Morrison and Saido picked up an injury so we`ll look at them today. I`d say they were 50/50. Salomon has only just come back in and we`re not sure what state he`s in so we`re dusting them down really.’

Evans is still struggling with the groin strain that stopped him from taking part in Northern Ireland’s final two European qualifiers and Morrison has an ankle complaint.
