Head coach Tony Pulis has been speaking about West Bromwich Albion’s trip to Leicester City on Monday evening.

Making the trip to the King Power Stadium for the first Monday clash following the October international break, Pulis told in his pre game press conference that he was still awaiting a few assessments on players before he selects the starting eleven, but the flexibility in the group left him encouraged with the way players have adjusted to styles and formations so far this year.

‘We`re just waiting for Oliver Burke, Nacer Chadli and a few others to come back and then trying to fit it all together. I have something in my mind that I think will suit everybody with five at the back or with four at the back. We can, with the squad we`ve got now, be that flexible. We`ve done bits and pieces on the training ground on it, and the players have linked into it pretty well.’

Turning attentions more to Leicester, Pulis went on to say.

‘On Monday night I`m looking forward to going over there to play in what we know will be a competitive game. From the times we`ve played them we know they`ve got some top players. On their day they`ve proven they can beat anybody so we need to make sure we`re prepared properly and that we concentrate on what we can do.’

He added.

‘I think if you look at them, with Kasper Schmeichel, Wes Morgan and people all through the backbone of that team, they`ve been exceptional. Jamie Vardy has obviously played an important part, as all good goal scorers do.’

In terms of a fitness update, Pulis explained that Salomon Rondon and Nacer Chadli would be back in training on Saturday as they had been given additional leave. Rondon was given a couple of days to spend time with his family in Venezuela and Chadli has travelled to Germany for a planned injection in his back.

The gaffer also felt that with the game coming on Monday it could play into our favour when it came to the fitness of James Morrison and Hal Robson-Kanu.

‘We`ve got one or two knocks. Hal has got a little bit of a strain, so we`re a little bit concerned about him. James Morrison hurt his calf muscle and there`s a worry about him as well. So we`ve got one or two little niggles that we have to be careful with. I`m not so sure how bad they`re going to be and whether they`ll miss Leicester.’

Pulis went on to say.

‘It might be a case that the two days extra might help us, we`re not sure yet. But they`re the two big concerns at the moment. Nacer Chadli has stayed away and he`s having an injection in his back. He`s gone to someone in Germany who he`s used before. The Doc and everybody are quite happy for him to have this injection. Again, we won`t see Chadli until Saturday morning so when he comes back we`ll assess it. I think he could play. It would be lovely to have him now and be working with him and seeing what he`s like, but unfortunately we aren`t able to do that.’
