West Brom striker Kevin Phillips is hoping to team up with the Baggies in form goal scorer Diomansy Kamara this coming Saturday when Norwich are the opposition.
Phillips can`t wait to start a game after coming back from injury and he is keen to team up with Kamara in the hope of forming a formidable partnership in the Baggies attack.
Phillips has teamed up with Kamara as a sub in the last two matches but wants to get back into the starting line up and with Nathan Ellington not having the best of runs at the moment, Phillips` chance may come along on Saturday.
Should Phillips be given the go ahead it will be his first start since grabbing a hat trick in the game against Ipswich. Kamara also played in that game and grabbed a brace.
‘We clicked together quite well and then I had my setback,’ said Phillips to the Birmingham Mail.
‘I’d love to try and pick up where we left off, but Nathan has come in and done a good job so I know I’m fighting for my place.
‘When I have played alongside ‘Joe’ I’ve seen he’s an intelligent player who’s good on the ball and for me it’s a massive bonus to be playing alongside him.’
