You always remember your first goal in football, and for Dara O’Shea, the 20-year-old defender became the latest name to join the exclusive list of players to score a professional goal for West Brom.

The Republic of Ireland youth international scored the Baggies second of the game against Millwall yesterday in a massive 2-0 win for Slaven Bilic’s side, with the result taking West Brom to four points clear of Leeds United in the Championship table.

It was O’Shea’s first-ever goal for West Brom after breaking through into the senior squad in recent weeks due to the injury of Nathan Ferguson, with stats from WhoScored showing that the Irish fullback has only made three starts this season, yet his performance against Millwall won him plenty of praise from supporters on social media.
