“Oozes Class” “Proper Man” – West Brom Legend Boosts His Own Reputation With This Move

|

On Tuesday evening West Bromwich Albion released a message from head coach Darren Moore.

The message was simple and can be read in full by clicking here but basically it concerned this weekend’s away trip to Wigan Athletic in the Championship as we put the October international break behind us, and the uptake of tickets that as seen the club go back for a greater allocation in response to the, erm, response from the fans, as well as his assessment of the first quarter of the season now being completed.

“So far, I’ve got to be pleased with the results and I hope you are enjoying the style of play we are trying to produce. I think the players deserve credit for some memorable goals but we know we have to be better in all aspects of our game and let me assure you our determination to improve is the constant feature of our preparations. But it’s not going to get any easier, that’s for sure. We have some major challenges ahead of us in this next cycle of fixtures and I urge you all to continue to play your part with your encouragement of the team. None of us take this support for granted.”

Some might well believe it’s just cynical public relations and a ploy from the club, but ticking the boxes he did, let alone the length and depth of the overall message – there’s more to that than simply fluff. It’s not a ‘thank for your support’ quick simple and throwaway job, thought has gone into it in a way your generic PR stunt wouldn’t see, so I’m not surprised at all to see it get the traction it did on social media and the corresponding comments.

Top, top stuff.
