As the closure of the transfer window fast approaches Leon Barnett has left the Baggies for five months to join Norwich City.

Coming through the in door is old boy Mark Antoine Fortuné. After playing for Celtic in last night’s defeat to Utrecht he wasted no time in signing his name on the dotted line to become Albion’s eighth summer signing.

Fortuné is fondly remembered by the Hawthorns faithful for his selfless displays when on loan the last time Albion were in the Premier League.

Roberto Di Matteo is clearly delighted to have strenghtened his sides attack significantly in the last week first it was Sunderland match winner Peter Odemwingie and now Fortuné. Let’s hope that Mark can have the same impact as Peter in the forthcoming fixture against Liverpool.
