West Brom fans have got some fantastic memories from down the years, and as the Baggies prepare themselves for a trip to Charlton Athletic tomorrow in the Championship, their club’s Twitter has posted a clip of Robert Earnshaw’s treble at The Valley from way back in 2005.

The fans have lapped it up. The vast majority of the responses to the tweet are jubilant Baggies who have been basking in the memories of the famous 4-1 win away at Charlton, with many of them having been on there on that day almost 15 years ago.
Now, though, those same fans will be desperate for someone to step up in their current crop of players and deliver a hat-trick of their own to ensure three points and another great away day for the fans, and given the strength in this West Brom squad, you wouldn’t bet against someone doing it.

One of the best away days I’ve had!! I can remember the boozer near the ground repeatedly playing ‘is this the way to Amarillo’ so we could sing our own version!!

The fans have got so much time for Earnshaw, and now it’s up to one of their current crop to emulate the Welshman tomorrow.
