Olsson Not Resting On His Laurals

Jonas Olsson has said that memories of missing last seasons league opener, means he is fully focused on keeping Roy Hodgson convinced that he should be a regular.

Speaking to wba.co.uk he said.

‘I remember last year when I was cut for the first game, so I’m not taking anything for granted. I’m trying my hardest to convince the gaffer I should be in the team for the first game.’

Olsson says that competition for places at the Albion is tough and it’s helping to drive everybody on to do their best, and especially with the new defences recruits, if all the players do their jobs properly in pre season, Hodgson should have some difficult choices to make.
