Jonas Olsson has offered a public apology to Stoke for the smashed picture and given his side of the event.

Speaking to the Express & Star Olsson explained it wasn’t like he went berserk, but did apologise for the breakage and admitted he fully expects to receive a fine for the indiscretion.

‘It wasn’t like I went berserk. I got annoyed and hit my arm on the wall and hit the frame. I apologised straight afterwards and will, of course, pay for it.’

With all the fuss over Premiership incidents of late, certain players having accidents with air rifles and others clearly elbowing a player but apparently it’s a ‘witch hunt’ this is a storm in a teacup and should be treated as such.

Olsson has and will do the right thing here, and while the club could’ve done without it, I’m pretty sure things get broken in tunnels far more often than we hear of via the press through no real desire of the offending player.
