Kevin Keen has said Peter Odemwingie’s work rate, effort and attitude in training during his suspension has kept him in Steve Clarke’s mind for the QPR game.

Speaking to wba.co.uk ahead of this weekend’s game where Albion will again be looking for another win and three points, our joint assistant head coach said that Odemwingie had responded perfectly to his sending off and had been very impressive in training, so naturally he goes straight back into contention first team matters.

‘I think since I’ve come in and met Peter I can tell he is a really good guy, he’s great around the place. I would say his training over the last two weeks is as good as it’s been. I’ve been so impressed by him in general, and certainly over the last two weeks. He’s chomping at the bit to get back and to make up for his sending off. He’ll certainly be in Steve’s thoughts for Saturday. I’ll be surprised if he’s not involved in some way on Saturday.’
