With Roy Hodgson having injury concerns over Shane Long and Peter Odemwingie, he has no intention of letting Fortune and Bednar go just yet.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson explained that although initially he was going to let Bednar go for some first team action, the Czech striker actually wanted to stay, so now both of them will remain at the club to provide options.

‘We’ve had a couple of enquiries about Roman, but he doesn’t want to go on loan to the Championship. Doncaster Rovers are interested in Fortune but at the moment with Long out and Peter having taken this knock on the knee, I prefer to wait on that one.’
