This weekend we’ll all get to see West Bromwich Albion take their next step towards winning the Championship as they take on Wigan Athletic at The Hawthorns, a game that on paper the Baggies should certainly be winning and one that will provide an interesting test.

The Baggies are lucky enough to still be competing in both the Championship and the FA Cup, so whilst the game tomorrow will be taken seriously, Slaven Bilic may keep one eye on the fixture against Newcastle coming up in the week.
For now, though, West Brom fans are focused on Wigan, and their club’s Twitter has posted a throwback video of when Thomas Gaardsøe stepped up and scored a late equaliser at The Hawthorns for the Baggies against Wigan way back in 2004.
You can read the fans’ reactions to the throwback tweet here:

I remember this vividly, the bloke next to me took limbs to a new level. That goal at the time was huge.

The Baggies have fond memories of that clash with Wigan and will just hope that tomorrow’s game isn’t quite as tight as the one 16 years ago.
