No Loans Required

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray says he will not be dabbling in the loan market before the deadline of Thursday 23rd November.

Mowbray feels his side does not need fresh faces to help them keep up their promotion push despite losing two out of he last three games and losing a two goal lead to draw the other.

The Baggies now sit fifth in the league but should have won at least two more of the games they have just played, they outplayed Derby at Pride Park only to lose the game through poor finishing and they simply could not hold onto a lead in the home game with Queens Park Rangers.

However Mowbray does have Nigel Quashie, Darren Carter and Kevin Phillips nearing full fitness and there is Paul Robinson set for a return after serving his suspension.

Mobray told the club’s official website: ‘If there is an emergency and you think there is a real issue or long-term injury, the loan market is a good idea.

‘But, as I’ve said from day one, I’ve looked at the squad and we have some very good players at this club.

‘We’ve got to trust this squad of players.

‘What’s the point in going into the loan market when I’ve got Phillips back now and Carter and Quashie back training.

‘I’m not one to panic because I think the team is functioning well. I’ve got great confidence and belief in them.

‘If you do the right things and practice the right habits, you will get your rewards in the end.’
