“No intention of selling”: West Brom likely to be dealt summer transfer blow

|

West Ham do not want to sell Grady Diangana in the summer and it’s unlikely he will join West Brom permanently even if they are promoted and the Hammers relegated.

The winger joined Albion on loan in the summer and he quickly established himself as one of the most important players for the Baggies. In total, Diangana has scored five goals and registered six assists for Slaven Bilic’s men and his importance to the team was highlighted by the fact Albion failed to win in seven league games when injuries restricted the wide man to just 24 minutes in that period stretching from December 21 until February.

Therefore, it seems obvious as to why the Championship high-flyers would love to make Diangana’s stay at The Hawthorns a permanent one and it was reported earlier in the year that they were planning a £10m bid. However, an update provided by Claret and Hugh suggests that there’s little chance of such a deal coming off.

Will West Brom be in the Premier League next season?

Yes

No

Grady has been brilliant for us and Slaven would love to sign him but it looks an unlikely scenario give the possible scenarios and current cash crisis in the game,” they claim a source close to Albion has said.

Meanwhile, a source from the West Ham end was adamant they would not be open to doing a deal.

Grady was sent to the club to gain precisely the sort of experience he has – we have no intention of selling.”

The immediate focus for Diangana will be to help West Brom back to the top-flight and the club are in a great position to do just that. Albion hold a six point advantage over third-placed Fulham and they will be boosted by having the influential winger back for the remainder of the campaign after an injury-hit 2020.
