Albion are keen to add the Crystal Palace winger Victor Moses to their promotion-chasing squad and have been in regular dialogue with the club, the player`s agent Tony Finnigan and the club`s administrators.

Although Finnigan has stated that Albion would be an ideal club for Moses, he has said the same thing about other clubs who are also in the chase. This includes Newcastle and Nottingham Forest who have both made offers for the player.

With Palace in serious financial difficulties, cash is needed from immediate selling of their assets i.e. their best players. The administrators are expected to make a decision on Monday’s transfer deadline.

Albion have cash available after confirming the £2million move to Bolton for previous loan signing Paul Robinson.

Though Robinson was bound by the terms of his loan agreement to join Bolton on a permanent deal it was not expected to go through until the summer.

The decision was taken by Bolton and falls at a perfect time for us as Di Matteo looks to raise money to help fund their pursuit of Moses.
