Midfielder James Morrison has said that Albion will need the entire squad as we face three games in six days over the Christmas schedule.

With us facing Premier League reigning Champions Manchester City on Boxing Day, before then heading to Stoke two days later and West Ham on New Year’s Day, Morrison said that everybody was disappointed that we couldn’t build on the Aston Villa victory when we let a two goal lead slip against Queens Park Rangers, but everybody would have to be up for it in the coming three games to ensure we get from those fixtures what we wanted.

Speaking to wba.co.uk he explained.

‘We have to pick ourselves up. On a positive note it is good for us that we have a string of games coming up thick and fast. The Christmas season is crucial to your season and in the past we have struggled. We are going to need the whole squad to pull in the same direction to et through this period. We have three massive games ahead of us and we need to start winning.’

Morrison goes on to say that everybody was down following the QPR result as we effectively threw all three points away, but he knows we have to take the positives from the performance we put in and make sure we don’t capitulate a lead like that again in the future.

With Manchester City up next, the 28 year old also commented that everybody would have to be 100% to get something from that match, as league games don’t come ‘much tougher’ than City thesedays.

‘We have a good bunch of lads in the dressing room and we all know what it will take to get a result against them. We just have to take the positives from the QPR game and give it our all, and then you never know what can happen.’
