It’s been reported that West Bromwich Albion midfielder James Morrison sustained knee ligament damage in the recent Scotland v England game.

The Daily Record reported yesterday that Morrison has picked up the injury within seconds of the game starting, but he went on to battle through until the half time whistle where Gordon Strachan substituted him for James McArthur in what turned out to be a rather thrilling two all draw.

Having played through the first half with the medial ligament problem he is likely to be out for a number of weeks now, with medical checks immediately after the game showing the damage.

Further tests will be done in the coming days where his spell out should be better forecast, as at the moment all that seems to be known are the words ‘number of weeks’ and ‘lengthy spell out’.

Hopefully it won’t eat too much into his pre season but we’ll have to wait and see.
