James Morrison is hopeful that he will keep his place against Bolton, but he’s loving the competition in midfield at the moment.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Morrison admitted the competition for places reminds him of his first season at the club but he was pleased to get back into the side.

‘It’s nice to get back into the side, my last start before that came at Sunderland when I scored. I stayed positive and waited for my chance, I thought I did well at Arsenal and hopefully I’ll get picked again.’

Likening the competition for places to his first season, he added.

‘We have good midfield players and we’ve just got to stay positive. It’s similar to the first season I came to Albion when we had Zolly, Brunty, Filipe, Greening and Koren. We rotated well then and I’ve got a similar battle now.’
