“More They Are Not Telling Us” – These West Brom Fans Fear The Worst After Latest Blow

|

On Tuesday various journalists began claiming that Aston Villa were set to raid The Hawthorns for another member of West Bromwich Albion’s staff – long serving Academy manager Mark Harrison.

The Telegraph’s John Percy was one of the journalists to do so and he took to social media to state.

Times aren’t good at the club as we expectedly (maybe) failed to gain promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking given the constraints placed on former head coach Darren Moore and it’s been a remarkable three months since we had a permanent head coach with Jimmy Shan temporarily stepping in.

With the search for a new gaffer ongoing, West Brom fans had been hoping for some good news this week on that front after the potentially massive Jay Rodriguez bombshell.

Is A Massive West Brom Board Blunder Going To Cost Us Millions In 2019/20

Instead of something to soothe nerves though about the coming 2019/20 campaign, this news has gone down like the proverbial lead balloon.

It’s more than understandable as to why so many fans have instantly gone for the Doom’s Day outlook here as whilst on a senior footing, we have totally underused the Academy and their creations, the Academy remained one bright spark that a future rebuild could be based on as given some of the players we’ve developed (but not used) it has punched above its weight and Harrison has played a massive part in that.

If Harrison is confirmed as making the switch to Villa Park, plenty of other fans commented that we could likely see the likes of Rekeem Harper and youngster Louie Barry join him.

The club need to draw a line under this torrent of bad news and quickly.
