Roy Hodgson has said that following our 2-1 loss to Everton, his experimental side gave him plenty of positives things to think about.

Hodgson made 9 changes from the side that lost to Swansea and Roy decided to try out a more attacking 433 but a very late comeback from Everton saw us come away with nothing – but the very postives Roy was pleased to see.

‘I was very happy with the performance,’ Hodgson told wba.co.uk.

‘I thought we played very well, we used this game as something of an experiment as to how we can best use our players. That gave me a lot of positives to take away and think about for the rest of the matches this season. Ideally, we wanted to win it, which I thought we came very close to doing, but obviously our priority is the league and we made that pretty obvious with the team selection.’
