After a somewhat jittery start to the Championship campaign of 2018/19, West Bromwich Albion have got themselves into a decent attacking gear and we find ourselves in second place in the second tier table.
With the October international break in full swing we are only one point, at the moment, away from table toppers Sheffield United with seven wins from the opening 12 games and although there are some things to still address defensively, there’s also plenty to be positive about following relegation from the Premier League last season.
With real news thin on the ground, the Sun on Sunday published a piece at the weekend claiming that scouts from Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur were in attendance at our Under 23 EFL Trophy tie against Blackpool and that they were there to specifically look at Oliver Burke.
Newcastle & Spurs Apparently Eyeing West Brom Youngster
Although the 21-year-old’s time at the club so far has been disappointing given his game time, and with the arrival of Wes Hoolahan and Bakary Sako, we do have other options, it’s probably no surprise to see Burke linked with a departure – especially given recent links to Bradley Dack.
Looks like Burke will be a gonner, shame about him but something ent quite right especially when he hasn’t been in FOUR managers plans… #wba

Apparently the board are willing to sell Oli Burke if an offer comes in that’s decent. Stupid decision. Sad thing is a lot of fans will say good riddance ????????♂️ #WBA

Thing is mate, Pulis, Megson, Pardew and now BD all haven't picked him. Yeah I think he's looked decent in the bits he's played but there's obviously something very wrong if he hasn't managed a look in

He’s just gonna be a waste of talent and we will regret selling him like look a roofe and Tyler Roberts and romaine sawyers hasn’t done too bad either like he should either go out on loan or have him in the squad he’s got to give him a chance

WHY ??!! Why he's not play? He is simply good on Championship level.

More clubs than games at this rate.

As the above comments show though, given our £15million outlay on him, plenty want to see him given a proper shot first before just moving him on as the boy clearly has talent, we just have to get it out of him.
