Returning old boy Darren Moore was asked about his opinion on the appointment of Steve Clarke to our head coaching role – this is what he said.

‘It’s fantastic and I think it’s a great appointment. He’s a very knowledgeable man, with an inside out understanding of the game. He’s worked under some wonderful people in Sir Bobby Robson, Gianfranco Zola, Ruud Gulllit, Kenny Dalglish and most notably , Jose Mourinho. His CV speaks for itself and it’s very impressive.’

Moore also says that the players will warm nicely to him because he’s a very likeable character as well as being the coach to continue moving us forward, saying that if he’d have still been at the club playing, he would’ve relished working with Clarke.
