Portsmouth have turned down a bid of £2.5m for versatile Marc Wilson.
Wilson who can play at centre back or as a defensive midfielder, his likely starting position for the Baggies, has been impressive so far this season for Pompey and Manager Steve Cotterill has expressed his desire to keep the Irishman. However, Albion are unlikely to give up easily and will surely return with a new offer before the transfer window closes. It is believed that Portsmouth are asking for £5m a sum that is unlikely to be paid by Albion or any other club that may be interested in the player.

Days of us rolling over to be fleeced are gone.
…we hope!
Looks set to be our club captain for the season, he’s not going anywhere on the cheap.
£3.5m would probably be a fair price but if you are not forced to sell then I would expect Pompey to hold out for more.
