Shane Long will again undergo an injection to enable him to play a part against QPR this weekend.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Long admitted that he had tweaked his groin a little but he still believes he’ll be able to play an important part in the game.

‘I’m pushing myself to come back from the knee injury, I just tweaked my groin a little bit. It’s not too bad. I’ll get an injection before and get through the game again, and hopefully come out on the other side without damaging it again. It’s only a small niggle and it just needs time to heal. It’s something I can play through.’

Fingers crossed it doesn’t agitate anything.
