Lionel Messi and Gareth Barry – it has a ring to it, no?
Plenty of supporters have responded to some footage of the club training by praising the ability of Gareth Barry – as well as other players – and one supporter even compared him to arguably the greatest player of all-time Lionel Messi.
The 39-year-old is still going strong in a Baggies shirt, so there’s no doubt that @CallumWBA6’s words on Twitter are likely to be a huge confidence boost for the Argentinian…
Here are some of the other replies from the West Brom faithful…

All jokes aside, the tweet released from the Baggies’ Twitter account does show some impressive footage, with the man from Hastings being involved with some decent play within the training videos, both scoring and assisting within the footage.
As all supporters know, the training footage is hardly revealing when it comes to showing well a team is coming along, however, it is still exciting for fans to see, especially with the league set to restart on June 20 with a game against local rivals Birmingham.
With nine games to go until the season resumes, Slaven Bilic’s side definitely look likely to go up, with them being six points ahead of third-place Fulham and just one point behind Leeds and Marcelo Bielsa in the top spot.
