It’s been another bad week in the life of West Bromwich Albion fans but we finally seem to have turned a corner of some kind as there’s now some real confidence that our managerial situation will be sorted and former West Ham and Croatia gaffer Slaven Bilic will take the job on.
“More They Are Not Telling Us” – These West Brom Fans Fear The Worst After Latest Blow
Speculation of Mark Harrison’s departure from the Academy and the potential for Aston Villa to use his knowledge to secure some of our highly rated youngsters was another significant blow to the optimism within the fanbase, especially following on so quickly from the Jay Rodriguez news, but following Darren Moore’s sacking three odd months ago the club seem to have lurched from one disappointment to the next.
Whilst there has been some mixed reaction to the Bilic news, he now seems to be the favourite after ‘budgets’ apparently ended our interest in Wolfsburg gaffer Bruno Labbadia as he really excited people.
Bilic is a pretty safe and steady pick to rebuild the club from the ground up though and his appointment may be official before the end of the week.
Fabulous news…Thanks Matt X

Great news! But will hold back from being happy about it until it's official.

Me too. I think he could be a very good fit for the Albion too in the longer run if he can settle in and establish himself quickly.

Very happy with Bilic. Thinks it shows a good amount of ambition of the club which hasn’t been shown for a while. Plus, he must have been impressed with the ambition and believes the budget we have can get us out the division. Exciting times. #WBA

Can’t wait till we have a proper manager. Ive wanted this day since the Pulis appointment. Can’t help but feel if we got someone like him in. From the start of last season, with the squad we had. We’d be back in the premiership already. #wba
