West Bromwich Albion have today confirmed that they are taking disciplinary action against wantaway midfielder Jason Koumas, Koumas was give an extra day off after having some dental work done but has failed to show up for training as planned, the club have given Koumas until Monday to turn up at their Aston University Training Ground before taking further action.

Earlier this week it had appeared that Koumas may be willing to patch up his relationship with Bryan Robson and re join the first team. There now seems no hope of this after he made some very ill informed comments to a Cardiff newspaper:

Speaking to the Welsh newspaper The Western Mail from his Merseyside home, Koumas said, ‘It’s really frustrating; I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do.’

‘I’m not training with West Brom, but I’ve had a few days of meetings with the chairman to try to sort things out.’

‘They want me to play for them next season and that they think I’m part of their plans.’

‘I want to go somewhere, you know, but I’m snookered.’

‘OK, they can’t force me to play football for them, but I’ve got two years left on my contract with them.’

‘I know Cardiff are in for me, but West Brom don’t want to do a deal. It doesn’t seem to matter how much money Cardiff come up with,’ Koumas continued.

‘I really don’t know what I’m going to do about it and I’m not very happy.’

‘To be honest, I definitely think I’m good enough to play in the Premiership, I always have done, you know.’ Koumas concluded.

The above comments and disciplinary action from the club seem to signal the end for Jason Koumas`s colorful Hawthorns Career. Even if Cardiff City do not come up with the asking price I cannot and do not wish to see Koumas in the Blue and White Stripes again.
